Two vacancies at the CEC! Will you be our new colleague?

The European Footwear Confederation (CEC) is looking for two new colleagues as of 1st February 2024!

EU POLICY OFFICER

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will assist the Secretary General in the implementation of the decisions and strategic directions established by the General Assembly as well as in the dissemination and promotion of the aims of the CEC.

More specifically:

  • Monitoring and analysis of EU legislative proposals and policy developments of interest for the footwear industry;
  • Drafting of related policy briefings, speaking notes and presentation material;
  • Representing the CEC in external meetings and events in Brussels;
  • Establishing good relations with representatives of the EU institutions, and other stakeholders;
  • Assistance in the implementation of EU projects: desk research, surveys, reports, etc.;
  • Collation of industry wide statistics and data, production of reports and presentations;
  • Support in updating and maintaining a dynamic website, social media and in the implementation of other communication activities;
  • Participation in meetings, conferences and other events of interest;
  • General office organisation and administrative support.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3 years of proven professional experience on EU public affairs, acquired in Brussels, preferably in an EU industrial association or an EU institution;
  • Professional experience on EU Industrial, Trade, and Green Deal strategies would be desirable;
  • University degree in political sciences, international relations or related;
  • Full professional proficiency in English, written and spoken, is a must; other European languages, including French, are considered an asset;
  • Strong analytical and communication skills;
  • Advanced computer skills, including web publishing, database management & publication design;
  • Ability to work independently under minor supervision, and on own initiative;
  • Good organisational skills, adaptable and open-minded.

 

EU PROJECT OFFICER

The successful candidate will assist the Secretary General in achieving the objectives of the Confederation, in particular with regards to the implementation of EU projects that support the CEC priorities.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support in the management of EU funded projects;
  • Production of project deliverables and reports in coordination with other team members and project partners;
  • Organisation of meetings and events as needed to reach the deliverables;
  • Occasional travels in representation of the entity when projects require it;
  • Contribution to CEC’s external and internal communication, such as update and maintain a dynamic website and social media, develop content, and press releases;
  • General support in the office administration, maintenance of databases, basic account keeping, etc.

PROFILE REQUIRED

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in the management and reporting of EU projects, in particular in Erasmus+ programme, in EU-level or membership organisations;
  • A bachelor’s degree level, preferably in business administration or related;
  • Full professional proficiency in English, written and spoken, is a must; other European languages are an asset;
  • Advanced computer skills, including web publishing, database management & publication design;
  • Good organisational skills, proactive, adaptable & open-minded.
