Discovering growth opportunities in Bulgarian textile, clothing, leather and footwear (TCLF) industries

As part of the EU-funded Social Dialogue project ’Ensuring a sustainable future for the Southeast European textile, clothing, leather and footwear industries’, the consortium engaged in a workshop concerning seizing growth opportunities in Bulgarian textile, clothing, leather and footwear (TCLF) industries.

This project is carried out in cooperation between European industry associations EURATEX, COTANCE, CEC and industriAll Europe and covers Bulgaria, Croatia, North Macedonia, Romania and Serbia, where the TCLF industries employ over 400,000 workers. During the workshop, the consortium was able to exchange on several topic such as the strategy to follow, the modernisation of the sector but also raised concerns about the flight of young workers to Western Europe.
