Valuable Sectorial Information about the Worldwide Footwear Industry

World Footwear is an initiative of APICCAPS, the Portuguese Footwear, Components and Leather Goods Manufacturers’ Association, and it includes two communication channels:

  • An electronic platform with updated industry news
  • An annual edition of the World Footwear Yearbook

The World Footwear website is updated daily with articles relating to the footwear sector, with particular emphasis on production, trade and market dynamics, as well as relevant information about footwear companies.

Within the website an updated calendar of events, covering the main dates for the industry, is available and can be subscribed and synchronized with the user’s favorite calendar application.

On the back of the news platform a weekly newsletter with the most up-to-date articles is distributed all over the world.

The World Footwear Yearbook is a comprehensive report that analyses the main trends within the footwear sector around the world. The aim of the publication is to analyze the position of relevant countries of the footwear industry in terms of different variables (Production, Exports, Imports and Consumption) and to evaluate the strategic positioning of the different sector players.

It is the eighth edition of a report that analyzes the great trends within the footwear sector around the world. Statistics are presented to year 2017 both in quantity and value as well as the evolution of the main world players in this sector.

The aim of this publication is to analyze the position of relevant countries of the footwear sector at a world level in terms of the different variables (Production, Exports, Imports and Consumption) and evaluate the strategic positioning of the different sector players.

Additionally, this publication includes a profile of the footwear industry/market in dozens of countries (82 markets in 2018).
