AEQUALIS4TCLF Supports the Launch of New Regional Skills Partnerships in Czechia and Slovenia

The Erasmus+ Blueprint AEQUALIS4TCLF project has supported the establishment of two new Regional Skills Partnerships (RSPs): one covering the North-East, Prague and Zlín regions in Czechia and the other one Central Slovenia. By bringing together public and private stakeholders, these partnerships aim to build a sustainable skills ecosystem capable of responding to evolving industry needs while strengthening the competitiveness and attractiveness of the Textile, Clothing, Leather and Footwear (TCLF) industries. 

North-East, Prague and Zlín regions 

The North-East, Prague and Zlín Regional Skills Partnership for the TCLF industries in the Czech Republic aims to build a long-term, sustainable skills system that can respond to structural changes while strengthening the industries’ competitiveness and attractiveness. The partnership will support initial and lifelong education by updating vocational programmes, strengthening retraining and improving teacher development in cooperation with regional companies. It will also enhance cooperation between employers and education providers, promote TCLF study and career pathways, and strengthen skills intelligence through labour market analysis and regular updates to occupational and qualification standards. 

Central Slovenia 

To address skills mismatches, limited sector visibility and a misalignment between worker education and industry needs, the RSP for textile and clothing in Central Slovenia aims to build a coordinated ecosystem that brings together education, industry, research and public stakeholders to develop skills and attract new talent. Its actions include strengthening and promoting lifelong learning and training opportunities at formal and informal levels, fostering partnerships between education providers, industry and other stakeholders and encouraging the inclusion of vulnerable groups while increasing the industry’s attractiveness. The partnership will also identify skills and knowledge gaps, raise awareness of job opportunities, and promote a more modern and international image of the industries.
